Order

ORDER: The Registrar is directed to annotate the HCPC Register to show that for 18 months from the date that this Order takes effect (“the Operative Date”), you, Lucy Leonard, must comply with the following interim conditions of practice:

1. You must confine your practice to your current role within the North London NHS Mental Health Partnership.

2. You must not undertake any professional or therapeutic practice as a sole Practitioner Psychologist.

3. You must not personally deliver any training, supervision or CPD.

4. You must not act as an expert witness or provide expert advice for the purposes of any legal proceedings in your capacity as a registered professional.

5. You must remain under the current supervision arrangements by DMB (or another suitably qualified workplace supervisor approved by the HCPC, and you must supply details of any substitute supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of them commencing your supervision.) You must meet with that supervisor at at least monthly intervals and follow their advice and recommendations. You must provide DMB with a copy of these conditions.

6. You are to make arrangements for the safe transition of your existing clients to another suitably qualified mental health practitioner, and this must be completed within 28 days of the Operative date of this Order.

7. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you cease to be employed in your current role.

8. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up work requiring registration with a professional body outside the United Kingdom

9. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of returning to practice in the United Kingdom.

10. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:
i. any patient safety incident you are involved in;
ii. any investigation started against you; and
iii. any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.

11. You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and/or progress under these conditions with:
i. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
ii. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work (at the time of application);
iii. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application.

Notes

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 06 December 2024 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
