Order
The Registrar is directed to annotate the Register on an interim basis to show that, for a period of 18 months, you, Mr Jason Patton, must comply with the following conditions of practice:
1. You must not provide telephone or virtual clinical assessments of service users.
2. Before you provide clinical services to service users:
i. You must meet with your clinical mentor, Dr Owen Rainey, to arrange an assessment by him of your competence in the area of musculo-skeletal subjective assessment including red flag questioning, and obtain from him confirmation that you are competent in this area;
ii. You must provide to the HCPC a report from Dr Rainey confirming that you have the necessary competence in the area of musculo-skeletal subjective assessment including red flag questioning.
3. Following the fulfilment of the requirements of condition 1:
i. You must meet with Dr Rainey every 3 months to discuss your work in the area of musculo-skeletal subjective assessment including red flag questioning.
ii. You must provide a report from Dr Rainey, commenting on your work in the area of musculo-skeletal subjective assessment including red flag questioning, to the HCPC every 3 months.
4. Following the fulfilment of requirements of condition 1:
i. You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor, registered with the HCPC. That supervisor may be Mr Blythe. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.
ii. You must arrange for your supervisor to undertake a random audit of five of your case records per month.
iii. You must notify the HCPC of any change to your supervisor and send the HCPC a copy of the results of each audit within seven days of receipt, including any concerns raised by your supervisor.
5. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up work requiring registration with a professional body outside the United Kingdom.
6. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:
A. any patient safety incident you are involved in;
B. any investigation started against you; and
C. any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.
7. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work (at the time of application);
C. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application).
8. You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and/or progress under these conditions with:
A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work (at the time of application);
C. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application).
