Order

ORDER: The Interim Conditions of Practice Order is confirmed as varied below:

1. You must not carry out work as an Operating Department Practitioner unless you work in a supernumerary capacity, and you must not undertake any out-of-hours or on-call duties.

2. You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor registered by the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.

3. You must provide reports from your workplace supervisor to the HCPC every month.

4. You must promptly inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed by your current employer or take up any other or further employment.

5. You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary or capability proceedings taken against you by your employer.

6. You must send a copy of these conditions to your current employer and inform any prospective employer of the HCPC referral and conditions of practice and inform the HCPC that you have done so.

7. If you cease to be employed by your current employer or take up any other or further professional employment, you must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;

B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application); and

C. any prospective employer (at the time of your application).

8. Any condition requiring you to provide any information to the HCPC is to be met by you sending the information to the relevant HCPC Case Manager.

Notes

This Order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 29 July 2024 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
