ORDER: The Interim Conditions of Practice Order made on 30 November 2023 is varied. The conditions are:

1. You must not work as a Paramedic until you have provided the HCPC with an up-to-date General Practitioner (GP) report, from your GP on your health conditions and any treatment thereof covering your compliance with any treatment you are undergoing, any current medication you are taking, and any prognosis as to the state of your health. The GP is to have seen you at a face-to-face consultation on the first occasion.

2. Thereafter, you must see a GP monthly either face-to-face or via telephone. You must continue to provide the HCPC with that GP’s report on your health conditions, and these should cover your compliance with any treatment you are undergoing, any current medication you are taking, and any prognosis as to the state of your health.

3. You must inform your GP about these conditions of practice.

4. You must produce copies of all the said medical review reports of at monthly intervals to the HCPC, and before the next Review, no more than 5 working days before the hearing.

7. Whilst working as a Paramedic you must confine your professional practice to working with only one employer at any time.

8. You must produce, no later than 5 working days before the next Review, a letter on headed note paper from any new employer to set out precisely what that employer understands as to your position with respect to these regulatory Fitness to Practise proceedings.

9. You must keep your professional commitments under review and limit your professional practice in accordance with the advice of your general practitioner.

10. You must cease practising immediately if you are advised to do so by your general practitioner. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of receiving this advice.

11. If you change GP, you must register with and remain under the care of another GP and inform them that you are subject to these

12. You must provide the HCPC with the contact details of any new GP within seven days of changing GP.

13. You will be responsible for meeting any and all costs associated with complying with these conditions.

14. Any condition requiring you to provide information to the HCPC is to be met by you sending the information by email to the relevant Case

15. You must promptly inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up any employment as a Paramedic.

16. You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.

17. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up work requiring registration with a professional body outside the United Kingdom, and

18. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of returning to practice in the United Kingdom.

19. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:

1. any patient safety incident you are involved in;
2. any investigation started against you; and
3. any disciplinary proceedings taken against

20. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

1. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
2. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application);
3. any prospective employer (at the time of application);
4. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training;

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 31 August 2024 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
